March 14th Webinar Presented by the Council for Responsible Nutrition and Natural Products Insider to Address Key Legislative Issues Facing Supplement Companies Today
Rick Collins will be joining with a panel of industry experts to address some of today’s most critical legal and regulatory issues in the sports nutrition arena at an upcoming webinar being presented by the Council for Responsible Nutrition and Natural Products Insider. The webinar, “Sports Nutrition: Playing by the Rules to Win Fairly in the Supplement Space”, will be taking place on Wednesday, March 14th at 2 p.m. and is open to both Council for Responsible Nutrition Members and Non-Members.
The webinar will feature a number of experts who will highlight important legal and regulatory issues impacting the sports nutrition industry to ensure compliance with current industry regulations, and provide an update on emerging science on key ingredients. The webinar was designed to help participants not only navigate regulatory and legal requirements for sports nutrition supplements (including bodybuilding and weight loss dietary supplements identified as “high-risk” by FDA for adulteration with hidden or deceptively labeled ingredients) but help participants stay up-to-date on legislative efforts to restrict access to weight loss and bodybuilding dietary supplements and learn more about CRN’s efforts to protect access to legal products. In addition, the webinar will help participants to understand the science supporting the safety of creatine and other popular sports nutrition ingredients, as well as learn about a new category of ingredients – Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) – currently under legal fire.
Moderated by Douglas “Duffy” MacKay, N.D., Senior Vice President, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs at CRN, Rick will be joined on the panel by other industry experts including Massachusetts attorney Robert Rodophele, Richard B. Kreider, PhD, FACSM, FISSN, FACN, FNAC, Professor and Executive Director, Human Clinical Research Facility at Texas A&M University and Tim N. Ziegenfuss, PhD., CSCS, FISSN, CEO, The Center for Applied Health Sciences. A Q&A session will follow speaker presentations, giving participants the opportunity to learn more about how to stay “in bounds” when it comes to legal and regulatory requirements in the dietary supplement/sports nutrition arena.
