Rick Collins, Alan Feldstein and David Torreblanca, lead attorneys in the bi-coastal Dietary Supplements Division of Collins Gann McCloskey & Barry, will once again be joining with other leaders in the sports nutrition industry as they travel to the 2016 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio later this week. This will be the 14th consecutive year that the firm has played an active role in sponsoring a number of events taking place during the weekend, and continues to be an important event for the firm’s dietary supplements division during this important time in the industry.
The firm’s dietary supplements attorneys will be attending the event from March 3 – 6, where in addition to meeting with clients, they will be serving as sponsors for a number of events and attending many of the competitions. Each year, the Arnold Sports Festival draws more than 175,000 sports fans and fitness enthusiasts to the event – and features more than 18,000 athletes competing in more than 50 sports and events, including 14 Olympic sports.
The event also features the Arnold Fitness EXPO, held in the main hall of the Greater Columbus Convention Center with more than 900 booths representing some of the top companies in sports nutrition. Each year, the EXPO provides a great opportunity to talk to key players in the area of sports nutrition about some of the key issues surrounding supplements and the law, and provide attendees with insight into the increased focus on FDA compliance and current FDA regulations in the supplement industry. The Arnold Fitness EXPO is the nation’s largest health and fitness exposition, and each year provides an important look into the latest trends in the sports nutrition industry.
Rick, a former competitive bodybuilder, has been a frequent presenter at the Arnold Sports Festival, addressing issues surrounding dietary supplements law as well as serving as a presenter for many of the competitions. Each year, the event attracts leading athletes and fitness professionals from around the world, and has grown to be the largest multi-sport event in the country.
