In addition to Rick and Jay each presenting, the two will be joined by Alan Feldstein, Of Counsel to CGMB, and all three will be meeting with industry professionals throughout the event to discuss the latest news surrounding sports nutrition, functional foods/beverages and the law.

This year’s SupplySide West, which will feature more than 140 hours of educational programming, will be attended by more than 16,000 industry professionals and 1,300+ exhibitors and include more than 10,000 ingredients and solutions. Each year, the conference brings together decision makers and industry leaders from around the world to address some of the biggest issues in the dietary supplement and sports nutrition industries – and attracts health and nutrition professionals in the areas of dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages, sports nutrition and animal nutrition.

Rick will be speaking on unique sports nutrition industry legal concerns, providing information to help ensure that companies adhere to all current legal and regulatory guidelines. Other speakers at the workshop are Oliver Catlin, President of Banned Substances Control Group (BSCG); Eric Frayman, Founder of Gamer Supps LLC; Bruce Kneller, Partner at HiQ Financial Holdings Inc.; Daniel Lourenco, CEO & Co-Founder of GHOST; Joshua Schall, President of J. Schall Consulting; and Brandon Smith, President & CEO of Formulife Inc. & Purus Labs Inc.

In addition, CGMB associate Jay Manfre will be presenting at this year’s SupplySide West conference. Jay will be speaking at the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) Botanical Congress presented in cooperation with the American Botanical Council (ABC) on Saturday, November 10th. As part of this unique, one-day event, which features a wide array of industry experts offering first-hand experience, education and information, Jay will be addressing “Current Legal and Regulatory Challenges within the Dietary Supplements Industry” – discussing the legal and regulatory challenges affecting the sports nutrition sector. During his presentation, he will specifically address the potential impact of legislation at the State level and what the industry can do. He will be joined by co-presenter Anthony Young, Esq. from Kleinfield, Kaplan and Becker LLP, who will be presenting on “The composition and identity of multi-ingredient products by input.” The 2018 AHPA Botanical Congress provides a unique opportunity to learn about sustainability, sports nutrition and regulatory considerations facing the botanical market, current and emerging financial trends and many more of the diverse opportunities and challenges that are shared by the worldwide herbal products industry.
